When I try to pass the password in the connection string as in
$ pgadmin3 -qc "dbname=my_db port=5432 user=me password=x"
I get the error:
Unknown token in connection string: password=x
Fedora 21. What am I missing?

When I place the mouse pointer over an internal border to drag it the
pointer does not turn into a double arrow as it does when it is placed
over an external border. Then when I click the internal border it
turns into a double arrow.

with the object browser horizontal bar scroll and both become
