I'm finally using the latest CVS version of pgpool-II. One question: is
it proper to leave the creation of pgpool.pid under /tmp directory? I
suppose it is defaulted to /tmp for suiting everybody's needs... Any
thoughts?

I do not recommend /tmp. It might be trashed by nightly cron job. The
