Chris, To each his own opinion. Take one very striking item in this message. I'm a certified Oracle DBA, yet I'm working with PostGreSql? Sounds odd doesn't it? The reality is that Oracle's pricing is SOO outrageous that some shops, like ours, are starting to switch rdbms platforms
