i.e.
As the postgres user :
$ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/path/to/openssl:/path/to/other/things/if/needed
$ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
$ /usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster -D /export/spare/home/postgres/data &
???
