Compaq 450MHz PentiumII with 256MB RAM and 1GB swap
I think I may have dug myself a deep hole. But hopefully someone
can help me climb out.
I was vacuuming my database, with analyze on; the vacuum was killed,
and I found I could no longer access
appears to be lousy. The dump is writing about 9-10K per
second to the db.out file. I have spent a good portion of the morning
trying to find Linux sites dealing with performance issues, I/O
configuration recommendations, etc. So far, no luck.
Any suggestions?
