Hi all.
I have a problem with data type 'numeric'. If I have a field of type
'numeric' (in this case 'foo') and execute next query:
select * from table_example where foo > 2.45
I get error:
ERROR: Unable to identify an operator '>' for types 'numeric' and 'float8'

I'd like to implement for my DB a mechanism of backup based in inherited
tables. I explain it in detail:

Hello. Only a question.
I have a table and want to make a view updateable with rules. Table has a

And now the question: Is it posible to return value of primary key from

Hello. I have a problem with Postgresql 7.1 beta (Debian packages).

Hi all.
I want to make a LEFT JOIN of table A with detail tables B and C. How can I
make that?:
SELECT A.*, B.*, C.* FROM A LEFT JOIN B ON A.foo = B.bar ???
I don't know where to put info of JOIN between A and C.
Any help, please? Thanks.

Hi all.
I want to create a new tuple of main info and detail tuples (in
different tables) that are joined by a key field. Key field is created by
generator automatically and I need that number in order to assign to detail
tuples. How can I to get that number in a safe way?.
Thanks for idea

How can i deactivate indexes temporaly for making a COPY?.
Any other strategy?.

Hi, all.
An extrange behavior with PostgreSql 7.0.2:

Is this a bug?
