Problem solved!
The sinner is probably windows defender.
Went to C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\ and opened the hosts file, and entered
"127.0.0.1 localhost" at the bottom of the file, saved and rebooted pc.
I am using pgadmin to attach to PostgreSQL.
My pg_hba.conf file is default with md5 instead of trust, but have tried to
change to trust, without that having any affect on my connecting issue.
And yes, I see 6 postgres.exe services running.
