I know this isnt specifically a postgres question, but people here are much
more likely to have an answer than on a perl list. I have an app in perl that
uses DBD::Pg to access the database. This module does not seem to have support

So I have an old database that is ASCII_SQL encoded. For a variety of reasons
I need to convert the database to UNICODE. I did some googling on this but
have yet to find anything that looked like a viable option, so i thought I'd
post to the group and see what sort of advice might

Dont think its large file support, I'm running on FC4, the problem existed on
FC1 too.
I'll try the custom format and see if that helps. Thanks for the
recommendation.
