Hello,

We were planing to upgrade from 9.0 to to 9.3. While investigating on the performance side, we stumbled upon a link which says there may be performance degradation on 9.3:

http://postgresql.1045698.n5.nabble.com/upgrade-from-9-2-x-to-9-3-causes-significant-performance-degradation-td5771288.html

So we are planning to do this post the upgrade:

echo never > /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled
echo never > /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/defrag

Wanted to understand, If there are any other such tweaks that we need to take care of, before we go 9.3

Some details:

OS: CentOS 6.2
Kernel: 2.6.32-431.20.3.el6.x86_64

Help here is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

- Karthik
