because it basically amounted to changing an error message and seemed like
a good place to start figuring out how the submission process works.

No, it's not :(
the process
no rush at all. I was off to the beach, I am also on vacations and plus its
not really a problem all I had to do was to git add the folder. So no big
deal for me, commits work just fine. But I thought it was better to report
it. I have not tried to reproduce the error again.
