A XML parser just creates a representation of a XML document according
to a parsing model. Ideally you should choose a XML parser
specifically for your needs. You have different parsing models:
-Tree Parser: This is what you will read everywhere as the "DOM parser"
-Event Parser: This is denoted

If I would going to write a XML parser, I'd go for a VTD parser instead.

Hi list,
I'm using PharoCore 1.1 #11301. Now I want to adapt some tools to
use the new menu registration mechanism. When I evaluate:
menuCommandOn: aBuilder
(aBuilder item: #'Dependency Browser')
parent: #Tools;
action:[self open];
A lot easier is to identify two points:
1) Why would you want to do that?
2) With the answer of 1) try to identify the image subsystem to apply
the instrumentation.
All other techniques are forms of interventionism, you will be trying
to perform surgery to a terminal patient.

Dear all,
I did a new Browser for the Magma object-oriented database,
implemented on top of the OmniBrowser framework. I've uploaded a demo
video in YouTube for the impatient :

The project Home Page is : http://swikicaicyt.homeip.net/WebOpus/56

Hi all,
For people out of the discussion, a secret to approach this kind of
highly-technical and political dialogs is to perform one or many
dialectical shifts to a meta-dialog framework. Sadly, now there is few
people in the world with enough knowledge in technology and rethorics
to do that in a
Hi Alain,
It looks a pretty nice way to keep the developer informed, I like it.

Dear all,
I've attached a little cool tool for intercepting Morphic events I
just resurrected today, from the class comments:
This morph is a button which, when pressed, begins listening to the
hand's event stream. When an even of the appropriate type is
encountered, this morph intercepts it an
Hi Rob,
Besides the Stéphane's example, you will find attached a cool
Morphic example to start experimenting with Layouts. Possibly it's
non-functional because of some Nebraska dependencies with the Sound
package (I don't know the status of Sound in Pharo) but it would be
sufficient for your purp
I'm using latest Pharo-Core with OmniBrowser and it's unusable with so
many warning dialogs raising all the time in every operation : Opening
an OB browser for example requires 6 Proceed clicks from an user with
messages like this one:
"The method Preferences class standardButtonFont has been depr
Hi guys,
I've noticed a different behavior relating the RBParseTreeSearcher
between Pharo and Squeak, using AST-Core-lr.33, the following code:
| rbMethodNode |
rbMethodNode := RBParser parseMethod: 'test [ ]'.

Hi Simon,
Have you tried http://www.squeaksource.com/LightweightClasses.html ?
It's in an experimental stage, but I've used it succesfully for the
recursive debugger problem. You may load it in Pharo-Core this way :
Gofer new

Hi Stef, nice talking in the sprint :)
I didn't knew about the status of the new preference framework, so
let's wait for the integration.
