Can you be more specific and did you try Mariano's suggestion about 32-bit
libs?

Using zeroconf, I installed 32-bit Pharo under 64-bit Debian. Pharo refused
to run – it threw up a bunch of errors.

I'm creating the competition website using Pharo and Teapot. For
encryption, I'm using Pierce Ng's PasswordCrypt, which requires a 32-bit C
library. This means I must run 32-bit Pharo.
And this means I must run 32-bit Pharo under 32-bit Linux. Therein lies the
rub...

Thank you for your well-considered responses. I appreciate them.
As I said in the original post, I am open to an alternative approach to the
competition. The current approach may be problematic, I don't know.
I still want a five-round four-person team event. I want to stretch this out
for maximum
Any idea when they will be available.
No pressure. Just interested and curious.
Thanks.

But that is not the way it should be, I changed the Jenkins config to include
the missing file. Try to download it again it is in the last build.

Thanks!, I was not aware of that.

OK, sorry. I missed that.
Now I've read it. And it requires a customized VM that can count bytecodes
executed against a budget and terminate execution if the budget is exceeded.
For the developer it requires an awareness of the relationship between
bytecodes and source co
Richard,
Please apologize if my reply was too harsh and without anesthesia.
I'm happy a private company/person decided to fund this, I was there
and applauded it then and I still celebrate it, I really hope it does good.
What I'm skeptical about is about the return of this, and its
effectiveness
Thanks!
This will be very useful.

It feels to me that the money came unexpectedly and your plan was just
a loosely defined idea.
Appealing to money or competition to youngsters in a pop culture is a
waste of money,
Go to "pop tech" conferences and see what people value and praise.
It's never money.

I apologize for my premature reaction. I've observed that posts can get lost
or forgotten after a week or two amidst many other posts. I was a bit
nervous. My attempt at a "reminder" was clumsy.

Hi Vincent,
Indeed your Cruiser tool proved very useful! It showed me how to implement some
absolutely required aspects of packaging, in pharo 6.1 (i.e. the NoDebugger
trick).
I tried also to get this independence of FFI of the sources working, by simply
filing in the attached code (from P7) i
Thanks for the link! I could download the moose-7.0 image and changes files.
However, to run it a specific version of the sources files
(Pharo7.0-32bit-facd684.sources) seems to be required.
Where could that be found?
