I used to be a coin collector also, the dime is beautiful, one of the nicest I
have seen but I would rather a friend had it as I cannot see paying that much
for it.

If I am not mistaken, the crapophone industry in India was a domestic industry
for awhile. There are many areas of India where electricity was not common, and
in fact India produced 78s into the 1960s. I am guessing that crapophones came
into existence as a practical item for playing records bec
