Folks,
I am knee deep in preparing the April / May In The Groove, so I
shouldn't even be taking the time to add to this discussion, but you have
touch upon one of my favorite topics. I have several hundred man hours of
experimenting with adapting antique horns to modern drivers, etc. On
Charlie Smith has been kind enough to send us 21 new recordings for your
enjoyment, in addition to the large number already posted...

I prefer the bluetooth Jawbone Jambox...

but... this is a phonograph site, so everything has to be acoustic and wind-up
to be considered as "on topic".

It would be a lot more work (and at least $30 more), but wouldn't it greatly
improve bass response to use something like the Altec Orbit M - IMT227?

Hi Jeff,Watched your video and had my iPhone-ograph up and running in a few
minutes. The only change that I made was to use a large binder clip from
Staples, instead of making a metal frame.Curt

Only $ 442.00! Wow!
Or you can make a simple iphone adapter and use it on your own phonographs
(with
or without a horn) for less than a $1.00.
I use mine all the time. Simple and works great.

Someone was asking about this in the past few weeks, and I just stumbled on
this.

And check out the other versions that are for sale using repro horns.
Maybe it's an idea starter??
