Hello all
I still have Ferguson books available along with a quantity of original
Ferguson cylinder box labels.  For those that don't know, the book is entitled
The Edison Phonograph Company and Related Opinions of Clarencen A. Ferguson.
Ferguson was the "Last Edison Dealer". He had been an Edison employee early on
and became an Edison Phonograph dealer. When the phonograph part of Edison's
business went out of business in 1929, he bought up stock from many dealers and
jobbers who wanted to sell out and he continued repairing and selling Edison
products as long as his stock lasted.  He was constantly searching for mailing
lists of people with Edison Phonographs, and at one point he inquired of Babson
Brothers, a large Chicago jobber, for their customer list and was told it had
been burned the week before! I have friends who dealt with him into the 1970s
and he still had new old stock records!
This book is an in depth interview that was conducted with him in the 1960s and
which contains a lot of great first hand information on the Edison Phonograph
Company and their products.  It is a fascinating read, and each one comes with
an original Clarence Ferguson cylinder box label that he used to glue onto
original boxes. That is a good offer until I am out of them.
The books are $12.50 postpaid inside the US.
Thanks
John Robles
