Dave Hietz passed on peacefully today. Dave was a class act and one of the nicest people that we've met in our travels. His October parties were legend and I feel honored that Genetta and I were able to attend and view his fantastic collection one year. Genetta and I send our sincere condolence

I am so sorry to hear that. Through the special request of a mutual friend, Dave opened his collection and gave a personal tour to me and a friend on my 30th birthday. That was a very special thing to me. He also allowed me to videotape the collection as well, as klong as I didn't sell it to

dave collected some very nice machines i was lucky enough to buy one that was for sale at union and see most of them that he had decided to sell. all i can say was he had very good taste in machines. merry christmas and happy holidays to all zono

Dave was truly a gentleman, and a decent human being. During a two-day photo shoot for our books, Dave not only opened every drawer and cabinet we wanted to investigate, but schlepped machines shoulder-to-shoulder with us. We turned his beautiful home and barn upside-down, but

Needless to say, I second George's sentiments except about my singing. Dave's sparkling collection inspired me to "try" to get my own artifacts in order. And so, I shall always be holding up my own stumbling efforts to organize my things to his meticulous standard. Thanks, Dave, and Happy T
