I just returned from the home of an elderly gentlemen who is selling of his
very modest collection of old phonographs, he is mostly a radio collector. He
has an original 1901 $3.00 Hand driven Victor Talking Machine. It is shown in
the Look for the Dog Book as the $3.00 victor. It is missing the horn support,
horn and reproducer, but the rest of it is all there. Since I have never
encountered one of these before, I have no idea what the price range would be,
since is it missing the key parts I just mentioned. Can someone offer some
advice as to what to offer ? On one side of the Oak base is 1901, and on the
other side is what I presume is the serial number. Any help you can give me on
this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Bruce
