Hello, Back in 1984 when I replaced the pot metal bearing on my standard only
the roller bearing was available and I got rid of that machine
Generally a sleeve bearing is quieter but has a shorter service life and
higher preventive maintenance requirements.

I like a bushing over a needle bearing and I doubt the shaft is hard enough
to use a needle bearing. OTOH it may take a couple of lifetimes for it to
