Hi all This phonograph is currently on eBay. It would appear to be an Edison Bell, but my question is, did they really have that Graphophone type spring barrel, or did someone stick a Graphophone barrel in an Edison Bell machine? It seems to me that this barrel did not come along til after this machine would have been made. I would guess, from the style of carriage, that this machine dates from about 1903 or so. Any ideas?? Edison had already given up using the gold-moulded process by then, and was distinguishing the name from his also issued 4-min wax. Sometimes "standard" can be the kiss of death... ;-) Allen www.phonobooks.com
