Why would the Edison Company go to the trouble of assigning a number to the major cabinet parts, the mechanism, and the ID tag? When I look at a big Amberola with the eye of a buyer, I check those numbers and expect them to be the same. Right or wrong, I'll assign a lower value to a machine that does not match.
