I mainly collect HMV and Edison phonographs, however I would like to add a
Pathe disc machine to my collection. I don't know anything about the Pathe
company and there seem to be so many models of phonograph to choose from. I
have heard that some machines were very "showy" but cheaply made using weak and
noisy motors. Has anybody got any thoughts or advise for a Pathe novice? I do
like some of Pathes unusual features such as the Reflex horn system and the
accelerated start lever.
Cheers
Richard.

I enjoy the Edison reproducer varieties, there are five different H types
that I know of. Around A960000 the small reproducer tops went to pot metal
and around B50000 the tops started to say T A Edison instead of Nat'l Phono
Co. I have never seen a top above B99999.
