Using "PHP 4.3.1 (cgi-fcgi), Copyright (c) 1997-2002 The PHP Group Zend Engine v1.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2002 Zend Technologies" I get the same message in windows XP when I use the syslog function. The following message appears when I use the following command. syslog(LOG_ERR, "Could not select database"); Event Type: Warning Event Source: c-client Event Category: (4) Event ID: 2000 Date: 7/23/2003 Time: 2:57:26 PM User: N/A Computer: Nothing Description: The description for Event ID ( 2000 ) in Source ( c-client ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: c-client[3684], Could not select database.
