I had the same problem.. config fails with: "configure: error: libpng.(a|so) not found." i have defined: "--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib" and in the /usr/lib directory i have these files: libjpeg.so.62 libjpeg.so.62.0.0 ---- Any suggestions? My system is RedHat Enterprise Server.
