Bug description:  Undefined variable

I have a form/post script designed to post data in a log file upon request,
but when I view the script IE6, it reports this: 

undefined variable: PHP_SELF ....

I'm running IIS 5.0 under microsoft windows xp pro with latest stable PHP
release....

What is wrong? why does this happen???
