Yes, but executing MySQL queries through PHP requires that you leave out the

As far as I know MySQL doesn't require a trailing *;* at the end of
the query.

I do my SQL in phpMyAdmin or at the command line and it works fine.
When I try and do my query through PHP I get this(Source to show there are
no etc in it):
