I know nothing about this, but did you investigate 'SHOW TABLE STATUS'

Make sure that the ownership of the files are
mysql.mysql
This as happened to me too!!!

Are your privileges in MySQL set correctly? If ROOT doesn't have read/write
access, the script will crash.
