They will run in 32bit mode, but they should work fine (32 bit
binaries work on a 64 bit processor, they don't work the other way

Frankly, why would you want to? Neither are written for 64 bit. The
only versions I could find for 64 bit were the 5.x versions in both.
Which is what I run on my personal computer.
