everything works now. i had a problem with some auf my libs, don't know
what in detail. i did a clean reinstall of my complete distribution on a
blank disk with all components i need. everything works fine. i'm using
php 4.0.8-dev form 200109281935. i'm very pleased with this state of
build. i

i think the last lines of config.log should be a hint:
