OK, This may actually not be a bug (In my case at least). Just
reinstalled PHP 4.1

Hrm, but there is no sign of anything PHP in that backtrace. You are
saying PHP sent something that caused mod_layout to crash?

Please provide a short and self-contained script which reproduces this
crash. A backtrace would also help (but
