We generally don't want to clutter our function namespaces with aliases
UNLESS there is a very good reason for.

We want to get rid of function aliases whereever possible,
not generate new ones.
We talked about the naming for the ctype functions back
then when i wrote them and decided not to use is_*
I was refering about ctype lib :)
