I had a later php so my phpBB did not get hacked. However, on another dedicated server, I am running Redhat 7.3 and it would be dificult at present to move to a more up to date server. I can't find a more recent rpm, is there a way I can patch the source rpm to fix this vunerability? Chris Mason

[PHP] File create permissions

I am trying to create and open a file in php4 using $fp = fopen($filename,r) php4 is compiled as an apache module. I keep gettting errors, and cannot create the file. The directory is chmod 777, apache is running as user apache. Any ideas why I can't write this file? Chris Mason Box 340
