I have tried using HTTP Authentication as described in the documentation. But it does not matter how many times i type in login/password, the popup keeps coming back. The server, mandrake 9.1, uses safe mode, so PHP_AUTH_USER and PHP_AUTH_PW does not work. $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'] does not work either.
