Can you tell us what distribution you have? Some distributions already
deliver PHP rpms and you just have to install additional modules.
Mostly they are called php(4|5)-(extensionname).
For example php5-mssql or php4-bc.

from source. So i try following steps:
- install mhash from source
- obtain PHP source directory, then

I am trying to build the binaries, however after the following cmd:
rpm -bb php4-2.spec
I keep getting:
