if you dont know PHP that well, you should implement it
in a language that you know, then work from that and
translate it into PHP.
i used to do that with perl/PHP when i was first learning

Rick, just an idea wouldn't the use of a database make this alot easier for you ??
then you can just sort your db results by date

If you don't have access to a database, why not put all the data in arrays
and then use the array sorting functions?
