Hello guys,
I had some spare time and wanted to fix a couple of bugs related to
notes management on master.php.net but then I noticed that Mirrors
tab that is neither updated or used since we switched to MyraCloud
(kudos to everyone involved!)
I removed the code which seemed safe to remove and tried to keep
at least reasonable BC in places that would be dangerours (like the
API endopoint or fetch/mirrordns.php which might be still called from
somewhere.
I decided to remove scripts/mirror-(summary|test) altogether because
they only seemed to update database wrt. to the management page that
is surely no longer needed.
For the /network/status/index.php I added the redirect to the php.net
homepage because it looks to me like it's mapped to the status.php.net
subdomain. Since I don't have a way (nor right) to remove it I went with
what seemed like a safe approach.
If I still broke something make sure to point it at me and I will try
to fix what's broken. If something went terribly wrong here is the
commit you can revert[1]
On the other hand, if there's someone with better knowledge (or perhaps
even actual access to the master box) I could only encourage to clean it
up more aggresively after making sure the aforementioned scripts are
really as unused as they seem to me.
I know the sad state of master.php.net (heck, I even recall the PHP its
PHP version situation) but I thought that some housekeeping wouldn't hurt.
Hopefully I'm right and I didn't went too far.
Cheers and have a good day/night!
Maciej
