This bug has been fixed in CVS. In case this was a PHP problem, snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at http://snaps.php.net/. In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up soon at http://www.php.net/manual/. In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites in short time. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP better. The Database Security section has been rewritten. Let me begin by stating that normally I find the PHP documentation to be excellent, and that any glitches are but ripples in an otherwise smooth experience. Unfortunately, the documentation on "Database Security" (http://www.php.net/manual/en/security.index.php) reads like it was written by a learner of the English language. It apparently has not been spell-checked (I take it 'connecion' is not an English word) and some sentences are complete mysteries to me. For example, I have no idea what the author means by 'In the more place you take the more action to increase the protection of your database, the less probability of that an attacker succeeds'. May I suggest that a native speaker of English reads the document in question and tries to rewrite the parts that need it in clear and concise English? I am not a native speaker of English myself, or I would send in patches and/or suggestions myself. Many thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=25559&edit=1
