We have been kicking around the idea, on IRC, of making each extension "a book", i.e. having tutorial, faq, best practices and lot of other info for each and every extension. Its kinda unrealistic goal, but I think it is worth the consideration at least. It's well worth a consideration even kn

For what it's worth, the PDO reference page is the result of taking the existing OO doc approach and trying to include an introductory tutorial within the only logical spot. In Dan's defense, it was also groundbreaking, as one of the first documented OO extensions/sections. S
