Good point, and I am in doubt about myself, but the files from
snaps.php.net identify themselve as 4.2.4-dev.
Any idea how to express this in a smooth way and avoid confusion?

Not really sure about, but I think so ;-)

Raises the question:
At which version became this configure flag available?
quick search http://www.php.net/ChangeLog-4.php
without success.

The precompiled zip-version from php.net is compiled with
cgi-redirection since version ??
Any hints about the installer?

Later this day I might have the time to search at cvs.php.net,
but if someone knows it would be great.

I general:
It would be nice to have the cgi-redirection thingies documented in
each webserver-install files. Maybe I can spent some time later.
