Thanks Deon,

I checked some of the settings, and it does appear that what I'm seeing is
probably due to how I had PLA 1.1.0.7 setup. I've gotten PLA 1.2.0.4 working
to my liking now and custom templates written for a few object types.

Also noticed that the configuration lacks a mention for the for
$config->custom->appearance['remoteurls] option. This needs to be set to
'false' on systems that are not connected to an active internet connection to
prevent the browser from attempting to download the SourceForge logo.

Cheers!,

Actually no, the functionality between 1.2.x and 1.1.x is very similar -
the main difference between these two versions is some backend work
(template rendering functions and LDAP communication) and presentation.

No, this functionality is the same. If you delete/disable the
modification templates, you'll get the same functionality as was in
1.1.x. Conversely, if you add modification templates to 1.1.x you'll see
the same behaviour.

No, not true either. If the templates dont fit your environment, because
you want more/less attributes included when objects are created, then
you can add your own, or only use your own. This is the exactly the same
behaviour in 1.1.x and 1.2.x. PLA provides a mechanism to completely
disable the supplied ones, and use your own, so that updates dont
clobber your customised templates.
