You can easily put filters inside a pinhole camera. They are especially
useful if you are making paper negatives with B&W multigrade paper. Low
numbered filters will make softer negatives in bright sunlight, which makes
contact printing a lot easier. They are also good for color correction on

Some people have mentioned problems with dust. However, I often tape a red
filter within my camera when shooting 4X5 Infrared. Of course, I do ensure
thatthe filter is spotless before doing so.

Is there any reason not to put a filter on the inside of a pinhole
camera?
I am considering putting one on the inside to keep it out of harm's way,
and so that it won't interfere with my super-sophisticated shutter
mechanism (a piece of black paper cut to within a tolerance of +/- 1/8
of an inch).
