My votes are for either a burr on the edge of the pinhole or reflection inside of the camera. For the former, try taking the pinhole "plate" out of the camera and scanning it into photoshop or something - then enlarge it and see if it still looks round. For the latter.. did you blacken everything

hi Daniel , on your pinhle camera, was the hole pre drilled, punched in with a needle or drilled by you. When you drill your own pinholes , watch out for burrs left on the inside of the camera ..regards mickey a happy life is made up of many happy moments

It looks like flare from bright light hitting the pinhole. This can happen if sunlight it hitting the pinhole during an exposure. My guess is that the sun was behind you for "me." The same effect can happen if bright sunlight is reflecting off of a shiny surface. This may be what happened in "w
