Package: sun-java6-jre Version: 6.26-3 Severity: wishlist Tags: security Hello,
Is there any luck of providing more recent version as Oracle is distributing 6.29 (1.6.0_29)? I read that the old Java might be used in breaking SSL in a man-in-the-middle attack setting ( http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/10/19/oracle_patches_java/ ), Chrome insists that current version is outdated and in Denmark electronic banking systems use Java applets over https for authentication. Sorry for being vague, but it is very strange that it has not been updated for quite a while now.
