Scarlett: I have been reviewing qt5ct and came to some conclusions, most of it already poured on IRC:
- /etc/X11/Xsession.d/99qt5ct sets the rights variables at the right time. Basically it sets QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct except it was already defined or if KDE is being used. - The app /usr/bin/qt5ct serves the purpose of configuring qt5ct, storing whatever setting in ~/.config/qt5ct/. But it has a behavior which I consider a bug: it does not opens if QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct is not set (actually it complains and exits). This should work non the less but warn the user about this. - /usr/share/doc/qt5ct/README.Debian is misleading due to the above bug. It should more or less describe the above behavior and ask users to set the variable by hand in case they are trying to run qt5ct from within KDE. So basically we need to avoid shipping AUTHORS and fix the reported bugs. -- Lisandro Damián Nicanor Pérez Meyer http://perezmeyer.com.ar/ http://perezmeyer.blogspot.com/ -- http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-kde-talk
