It looks that mplayer changed default ao to oss.
I doesn't changed any config file (and they doesn't set any ao
anyway).
Adding -ao alsa, to command line or mplayer.conf in /etc/mplayer or ~/.mplayer
solved problem.

Hi,
IPv6 works in HTTP streams without bigger problem,
but I found messages from mplayer not very helpful,
as they are incorrect.
$ mplayer http://tytus.semp.shell.la/Tromboon-sample.ogg

I have environment variable set as
$ env | grep proxy
http_proxy=http://localhost:8118
no_proxy=localhost,127.0.0.0/8
$
and localhost resolves to IPv6
$ getent hosts localhost[ 03:15 ]

I think this bug (#563373), should be closed.
I cannot reproduce it again, and original problem
was probably because i somehow messed libraries
and version with debian-multimedia.
I think everything works correctly in mplayer,
and never again happened it to m
