i can reproduce the problem.
attached you can find a backtrace.
however: the segfault seems to have gone in ardour-4 (as provided by the
"ardour" package).
i don't think fixing the problem is worth it, esp. since the "ardour3"
package will be removed from the archives in the (near?) future.
