Rogerio, I just packaged and uploaded the latest version of lame to
Debian. There's some patches that you should look at [1].

In particular, the "gtk1-ac-directives.patch" should be applied
upstream seeing that GTK-1 is so old, it's more likely users will need
this if they are to apply build system updates and run autoreconf
(such as what I need to do). Also, there's the
"debian-as-extra-dist.patch" that should be applied as well so that
the debian directory is included as an extra directory instead of
being looked for by the build system.

I see there was some changes in making the ".libs" directory for the
files built by nasm. This still breaks when doing a parallel build.
The "parallel-builds-fix.patch" has a fix for this.

All the other patches has descriptions about them and should be self
explanatory. Please consider applying these to the lame source tree.
