Contrast plasma::theme color issues

Hello everyone. Near to our release on next Mandriva, we got an issue related to color contrast in kde 4.2.x. First of all, here's the screenshot of basically the default desktop: http://users.mandriva.com.br/~heliocastro/mandriva_free.jpg So, we are using Aya theme, against a dark background.

Completely agree on that...Same for OpenSuse 11.1 they ship Aya by default, first thing i do (when it's not my own build), get rid of the ugly default. Please listen users (and sometime just ask them what they want or what are their habits) They want NEW stuff not a KDE3-like theme. What i still

I can understand the branding though, otherwise you can't differentiate a distrib A to a distrib B. But is it really what the end user want? no, he just want something that works, cool, new, and beautiful. I have also many friends asking how to remove the opensuse logo and instead use KDE one for

I think branding is a separate debate from "their lack of taste in the theme they use by default." Can any Plasma theme be branded? OpenSUSE seemed to do a decent job giving a green-gloss to Oxygen instead of the blue; different, but it looked okay. ___
