Modular X.org vs. patches

Currently our modular X server doesn't have all those patches from the monolith version and here lies the question -- should we start from scratch and add patches only as the need arises (and risk blowing stuff up from time to time) or maybe be extra carefull and just update all of our old

STBR aqbanking (linking bugfix) Is elinks 0.11.0 good enough for Ac? It seems to fix javascript crashes on gmane.org news archives. (but still crashes on rozklad.pkp.pl sometimes - although less often than 0.10.x, I think; I haven't encountered more problems so far) -- Jakub Bogusz
