I'm thinking now this may be a build issue with the PDL PLplot module getting
out of sync. Will take a build to test though...

this is just to inform you that I got a report from Clive Page,
who is active in the comp.lang.fortran newsgroup, on his experiences
with installing and using PLplot on Windows. I have not read
it in detail yet, it is fairly extensive, but it should give us
a few pointers as to what to improve
