Hi Jim: I have some points to offer. I confirm the issue (which shows up whenever I attempt to resize -dev xwin). I have no idea whether Phil is investigating fixing this or not. But regardless of whether you or Phil fixes the issue, the fix should be done on a topic branch now and pushed to master post-release since the fix very likely involves a change to plbuf, which I want to avoid at this late date in the release cycle.
